Грузо-пассажирский пароход, стальной, одновинтовой. Построен в 1883 г. по заказу РОПиТ. Имел г/п 140 тыс.пудов (2293 т), каюты на 34, 32 и 102 мест I, II и III классов, а также принимал "палубных" пассажиров. К 1887 г. был приписан к Одессе под №491. Вначале эксплуатировался на ближневосточных линиях, а с 1.3.1884 стал ходить на Дальний Восток с переселенцами по фрахту МВД, в том числе в 1886 году по фрахту Гл.упр-я казачьих войск Военного ведомства с казаками и их семьями. 5.2.1887 получил пробоину днища вблизи Сиры и выбросился на отмель, где "обсох".
