При переходе через Ладожское озеро осенью 1971 года затонуло в Свирской губе, где и находится сейчас, при выполнении рейса с песком в п. Важины. Затонуло из-за большой волны и течи в трюмных крышках. После этого происшествия судам этого проекта проход через Ладожское озеро был запрещён.
