В Советские времена в Составе Благовещенской РЭБ Флота существовала так называемая теплопартия. Специалисты на Теплоходе "Теплотехник" подходили к транзитным судам, замеряли параметры работающих Дизелей, диагностика и регулировка, в том числе качество топлива и масла, тем самым велся контроль за механизмами, делали квалификационные заключения, указания и рекомендации на плановый и текущий ремонты СЭУ
